We had a pretty big snow in Louisville last week.  We had about 10 inches at the house.  We were able to get out on Saturday and make our way to a local golf course for some serious sledding.  I don’t think the kids have ever been sleigh riding on these kinds of hills.  Lisa and I made a couple of trips down the hill as well.  Lisa even jumped the snow ramp someone had made.

The kids had a blast, no one got run over and no one hit a tree.  We did have one mishap.  We took a neighbor friend with us.  She slid to the bottom of the hill, went to far and went right into a creek.  I saw her dissappear over the edge and saw a big splash.  It was well below freezing – she was a trooper though and we didn’t have any problems.

Daniel has posted his comments from his leadership conference.  You can read about it in the “NYLSC – Daniel” page.  The link is above or in the Pages section on the left.

We do have a big weekend planned.  Allison and I will be in Lexington for her Kentucky State Championships.  She has qualified and will compete for a state championship in 5 individual events and 3 relays.

Daniel will be on a primitive camping trip with his scouts troop in Spencer County.  Lisa will be taking David on his scout’s trip to Dinosauer Land and Mamouth Cave on Saturday.
