We had a busy and successful weekend the past few days.

Allison was in Indianapolis for a swim meet and finished in the top 6 of all 9 events in which she was entered, winning 3 of them.  She had a few best times and enjoyed her first “open swim” championships.  Here are the results:

1st Place – 200 Yard Backstroke

1st Place – 100 Yard Backstroke

1st Place – 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (2nd leg)

2nd Place – 400 Yard Medley Relay (breast stroke)

4th Place – 1650 Yard Freestyle (the Mile)

4th Place – 500 Yard F reestyle

5th Place – 100 Yard Freestyle

6th Place – 200 Yard Freestyle

6th Place – 100 Yard Breaststroke

Again, just a huge weekend.  She is very pleased with the results.

Daniel attended a National Young Leaders State Conference (NYLSC) in Nashville over the weekend.  It was a 4 day event in which he learned all kinds of leadership skills.  He will be writing a synopsis of the trip and it will be posted later in the week.  Look for it at the top of this screen under “Daniel – NYLSC” link or in the Pages section of this site.  He says he had a great time.   I went down for the commencement ceremonies and I could just tell there were a lot of smart kids in that room.  Look for Daniel’s impression of the trip later this week.

David had another good basketball game, scoring 4 points in a winnng effort.  Probably his biggest thrill though was on Friday night when he played in a scrimmage with Daniel’s team.  David did well and even scored the winning basket for his team.  He really enjoyed playing with and beating the “big kids”.

Lisa and I are just tired from driving around the Indian/Kentucky/Tennessee region all weekend.
