Today is a snow day in the Ville.  The kids, as the are supposed to, are enjoying a day off and the snow.  Looks like we got 3 or 4 inches of snow and ice last night and Daniel and David are off doing a little sleigh riding.  Allison is enjoying a lazy day in front of the warm glow of a television.

The last week was relatively uneventful.  Allison had qualifed for state as a stand-by swimmer in case someone scratched.  Unfortunately, no one did.  After seeing the times in the state meet, Allison, if she had matched her best times would have finished around 20th in the state in each event – the 500 free and 100 back.

The snow made for some interesting driving last night.   I was run off the road by an uncoming driver sliding into my lane.  Fortunately, on my side of the road was a field that I was able to drive into and out of back onto the road – no damage done.  But, it will get your adrenaline going – sheesh.  The good Lord looking out for me on that one!

David had a huge basketball game on Saturday.  He scored a career high 5 points and hit the game winning shot as the team won for the first time in a couple of weeks.  David was very excited about how he played and the big shot.

Daniel continues to be a solid contributor to his team and they finished in a 3 way tie for first – all three teams lost 1 game and all to each other.  The tournament starts in two weeks – should be interesting.
