Allison had a very good High School Regional meet.  Male High is in the toughest swim region in the state, by far.  Despite this fact, in the regional preliminary events, she qualified in all 4 entered events for the regional finals.

She competed in the 500 yard free sytle and the 100 yard back stroke.  Additionally, her two relay teams returned to the finals – the 200 IM relay and the 200 free style relay.  Unfortunately, Allison just missed – literally – by .03 seconds of qualifying for the High School state championships.  We are all dissapointed, but there is plenty to still swim for.

In March, she will be competing in the U.S. Kentucky State A Open championships.  She is qualified in 4 events so far and we could have more before then.  So far, she has qualified in the 1000 and 1650 free style and the 100 and 200 back stroke.  She only needs to trim a second or two in a couple of other events.  She will try to qualify for these events in Indianapolis in two weeks.

David and Daniel continue to enjoy their basketball seasons.  Daniel’s team finally lost a game, but rebounded and beat the last remaining undefeated team in the league.  Their playoffs are coming up and they should be fun.
