Well, the kids got their frist report card of the school year.  We are pleased to report that all three had at least acceptable grades.  As always, there was improvement made in some areas and still room for improvement in others.  Overall, we are pleased with each kid’s effort in the classroom, thus far, this year.

Allison’s swimming has picked up full force again.  If you think football or basketball or soccer (still not a real sport) or any other sport is tough, try this schedule:

Monday: 5:00am – 6:30am; 4:00pm – 6:15pm

Tuesday: 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Wednesday: 5:00am – 6:30am; 4:00pm – 6:15pm

Thursday: 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Friday: 4:00pm – 6:15pm

Saturday: 7:00am – 9:15pm

Sunday: Off

This schedule has her in the water, training for 17.5 hours per week plus 1.5 hours of aerobic excercise.  Then, she has to find time for homework and studying and, of course, the all important social life.  She handles it all pretty well.

Daniel is getting busy as well with his bowling, band and quick recall.  He keeps a pretty busy schedule as well, but most of his activities are over by 5:00pm each day.

David is really having a good time with 4th grade – NOT!  He has a ton of homework – he is doing 3 to 4 hours of homework a night.

David’s baseball team is doing well – they are 9 – 1, losing for the first time on Saturday.  It was a great game, ending 2-1 with one of David’s teammates being thrown out at the plate.  Instead of tying the score, it was the 3rd out in the last inning.  They should still win the league title, as they only have two games left.  He is having fun playing fall baseball this year.

As for me and Lisa, well, we mostly are just “herding cats”.  We did get to get out and enjoy a play at Actor’s Theater.

Oh – one last thing, Allison visited Transylvania University on Saturday.  This is going to be a tough job – picking colleges over the next 12 months.

Should be a fun week this week, a couple of brithdays and an anniversary coming up pretty quick….
